Pickleball

Pickleball is very popular and the fastest growing sport in the US, and has now come to Kumeu, in Northwest Auckland. A fun combination of tennis and table tennis, played with light weight paddles and a plastic 'wiffle' ball, on a badminton court with a lowered net. Easy-to-learn and easy-to-play, yet still fast and competitive for all ages. Very addictive - a great family game too.

Kumeu Racquets Club is a member-focused club with an open beginners session and registration required for our intermediate/advanced sessions. Club members can book courts outside of session times 24/7 subject to availability.

Club Sessions:

KRC Members free, Casuals $15

  • Thursday  5:30pm - 7pm (Beginners - no registration required)

  • Thursday  7pm - 9.30pm (Intermediate/Advanced - REGISTER ON PICKLEHEADS)

  • Saturday  9am - 11:30am (Intermediate/Advanced - REGISTER ON PICKLEHEADS)

At all club sessions there is equipment provided. New players are very welcome to join the "Beginners" session on Thursday evenings, which has a $10/person casual fee. To join an intermediate/advanced session you must register on Pickleheads - KRC members get first access to these sessions.

We are using Pickleheads to manage session numbers: please join Kumeu Racquets Club on Pickleheads, where you will be able to put your name in available session slots. Please note priority access to sessions will be given to KRC members - check out our membership options here.

Court Bookings

Pickleball court bookings at Kumeu Racquets club are only available to members and are subject to availability outside of session times - we operate on a first-in, first-served model. Check out our membership options and sign up as a KRC member here to gain access to our booking system and to get your own fob, which gives you access to the club 24/7.
